Frequently asked questions

How do you rate and score software?

Every tool is checked across the same eight areas: features and workflow, output quality, ease of use, real pricing and value, the AI models used, the vendor's track record, best use cases and drawbacks. These roll up into the score shown in each review.

Are these reviews sponsored?

No vendor pays for a review or a rating. We may earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you, but that never changes the score. We check pricing, vendor history and claims rather than repeating sales pages.

How often are reviews updated?

Reviews are updated when prices change, new information appears or a mistake needs correcting. Each review has a changelog, and its confidence note says whether the tool has been tested hands-on yet.

Why are most ratings between 3 and 4?

Many new AI tools overpromise. A score near 4 means a tool does what it says for the right buyer; lower scores flag real limits, such as needing extra paid add-ons or carrying account risks.

Should I buy a tool with a low rating?

Read the drawbacks section first. A lower-rated tool can still suit a specific need, but make sure you understand the limits and the refund policy before buying.
