What Is JVZoo?

JVZoo is an affiliate platform that’s especially popular with digital marketers and software creators. Many products launch there with time-limited deals, and vendors often provide ready-made swipe emails and promo materials for affiliates.

The key difference is that on JVZoo you usually request approval for each product. In return, you can connect directly with product creators, and some vendors pay commissions right away.

Signing up as an affiliate is free. ClickBank’s $49.95 activation charge applies to sellers, not affiliates. Once your account is open, you can promote any product in the marketplace right away.

JVZoo

Joining is also free, with no monthly fees. JVZoo requires a one-time $5 KYC (identity) verification to unlock payouts. After that, you request approval from each vendor. New affiliates without sales history may get declined for some products, so explain your promotion plan (for example, “YouTube tutorials plus an email list”) when you apply.

Winner for beginners: ClickBank. There’s no product-by-product approval, so you can start promoting immediately.

ClickBank describes Gravity as a metric that measures an offer’s sales momentum. Over a rolling 12 weeks, it counts how many unique affiliates earned commissions on the product, with more weight on recent sales. A higher Gravity means more affiliates are currently making sales. That shows demand, but also more competition.

JVZoo’s marketplace filters

JVZoo lets you filter offers by EPC (earnings per click), commission rate and niche. It also shows tracking data such as average order value and conversion. JVZoo vendors frequently run product launches, so watch launch calendars and vendors’ JV pages for promo materials.

Tip for both: before promoting, buy or demo the product if you can, read the sales page as a customer would, and check that the vendor offers real support.

Payouts and Fees

ClickBank

• Schedule: weekly or every two weeks. Pay periods end on Wednesday, and payments go out two days later.
• Threshold: you choose your payment threshold; the default is $100.
• Methods: direct deposit (free in the US and supported countries), wire transfer ($45 per wire), Payoneer, or paper check (the default).
• Fee: $5 processing fee per payment.
• First payout: you need at least five sales from unique customers, each more than 14 days old, made with multiple payment methods.
• Inactive accounts: accounts with a balance but no earnings for a long period are treated as dormant and charged a fee.

JVZoo

• Instant commissions: if a vendor offers them, your commission is credited once the customer completes checkout.
• Delayed commissions: some vendors choose to pay within 70 days of the sale.
• JVZooPay: commissions credited within 30 days; you need KYC verification and a $50 minimum to withdraw.
• Methods: bank transfer, Payoneer or Wise.

Winner: JVZoo for speed, ClickBank for predictability. JVZoo can pay faster when vendors offer instant commissions, while ClickBank pays on a fixed schedule once you meet its first-payout rules.

Refunds and Chargebacks

ClickBank allows customers to return products within 60 days of purchase, and some vendors offer longer. If a sale is refunded or charged back, your percentage (revenue-share) commission is taken back. If the offer paid a flat CPA commission, you keep it.

JVZoo may hold a rolling reserve and deduct amounts from your balance to cover refunds, chargebacks and fraud. If your balance goes too far negative, JVZoo can require you to cover it.

• No spam. JVZoo’s affiliate agreement states that spam and unsolicited commercial email are “absolutely prohibited.” ClickBank also bans spam.
• Follow vendor terms. Vendors can set their own rules, such as no paid ads on their brand name or no direct linking from ads.
• Follow ad platform rules if you use paid traffic, and disclose your affiliate links everywhere you share them.
